3-hour introductory session
Want to get your hands on a glider and feel the pull of the wind? This focused, 3-hour introduction to the fundamentals of paragliding. Skip the deep classroom theory and get straight onto the training field to get hands on with the gear, learn the terminology, and manage a paraglider under the guidance of a USPPA instructor.
This is the perfect, low commitment way to demystify the sport, build an appreciation for wind energy, and find out what it truly feels like to control a paraglider.
What We Cover in 3 Hours
Gear Nomenclature & Setup:
A quick, hands-on walkthrough of premium paragliding gear. You will learn the anatomy of the wing, lines, and harness, alongside the critical pre-flight safety checks every pilot performs.
The Forward Launch:
Step into the harness and learn the physics of the forward launch. You will practice the exact body positioning, acceleration, and release techniques required to pull a wing cleanly off the ground and into the air.
Ground Handling (Kiting):
Spend the core of the session on the field actively handling the wing. You will feel the lift, manage the energy of the glider overhead, and learn how to use subtle brake inputs and footwork to keep the wing stabilized overhead.
This course cost will be deducted from the Zero to Hero course if you decide to go all in!
